At least the Red Sox got swept

The Ravens loss today was frustrating on so many levels. Perhaps the most frustrating thing for me was having to fight the staff at the bar where I was watching to keep them from turning the game off with 48 seconds left (I would have missed the bullspit pass interference call and the fatal touchdown but boy would I have been mad when I got home). Such is the life of an expatriate Baltimore sports fan. Fortunately, right at the same time I got a text message about Papelbon blowing the save and the Angels sweeping the Red Sox out of the playoffs. That made things a little better. Sometimes, the teams you hate save you from the misery brought on by the teams you love. All will be forgiven if the Ravens humiliate Brett Favre in the battle of the purples next week. After all, it is about time for "Bad Favre" to make his first appearance of the year... and for Mark Clayton to go a week without dropping a pass!
